SA299 Gr.B steel is C-Mn-Si steel plate often used to make various welding parts whose working temperature does not exceed 400 degrees Celsius, such as the head and shell of boiler steam drum, pressure vessel. Due to its working environment, SA299 Gr.B plate is required to have a higher medium temperature, outstanding shaping and heat treatment process functions, and outstanding welding functions.
Jspl announced plans to build a 2.5-million-ton-a-year HII mechanical properties steel plant in the ramga region of the Indian state of Jharkhand. It is reported that the company has a wire mill, a bar mill and a steel service center in the region. The new steel plant is expected to be put into operation in two to three years. The completion of the new HII mechanical properties steel plant will be conducive to its integration and elimination of backward production capacity.

Chromium element (Cr element) can improve the strength and hardness of HII mechanical properties, carbon steel in rolling state, reduce elongation and area reduction. When the chromium content is more than 15%, the strength and hardness will decrease, while the elongation and reduction of area will increase correspondingly. It is easy to obtain high surface processing quality for steel parts containing chromium after grinding. The main function of chromium element (Cr element) in quenched and tempered steel structure is to improve hardenability, so that the steel has better comprehensive mechanical properties after quenching and tempering.
